I know... I'm so sorry, it's been a year since I've updated my blog. I'll try do a better from now on. Makeup business sky rocketed and things are just moving along so fast. I have a lot of pictures to post and stories to tell. I'm so exited for year 2011!!
One great personal news of ours is that we're expecting our first son this coming April 4th, 2011. We've already picked a name and his name is Maddox Soukanh Torry. My husband brought up the idea of having my father's name as Maddox's middle name. I love it! We're so exited and can't wait to meet him!! : ) I'll be posting some makeup pictures shortly. Thanks for visiting!

October Wedding
Hi Everyone,
I really enjoy doing make up and helping ladies feel their best. I especially enjoy helping brides feel their absolute best on their special day as well. It helps to relieve much stress from a bride, when she is totally confident that her make up will last all day and that her make over will bring a nice "Ahhhh" from the crowd as she walk down the aisle. I definitely recommend make up consultations to all Brides to Be. This help brides to know what to expect on the wedding day and will help the make up artist to execute the job faster.
I would like to share before and after pictures of a bride who recently married on Oct 24th. Adrienne was definitely satisfied with her make over and received many compliments. Her testimony should soon be posted on the site. She also mentioned that her husband could not stop staring and smiling at her. :) She definitely turned out to be a beautiful bride. Thanks Adrienne!

Kimbell Art Museum Visit
My husband and I finally were able to visit the "Impressionists" exhibit today. The exhibit was held at the Kimbell Art Museum and was ending this Sunday. As I stepped into the exhibit I was sooo thrilled to be surrounded with so many beautiful and really old famous paintings from the 1800s. Two of my favorite artists were Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh. My favorite painting was the self-portrait of Vincent Van Gogh. The colors and brush strokes of the painting was sooo amazing. I had Tawa to get a closer look at the Vincent painting and he too was blown away at the details and brush strokes. Each color and stroke was painted as if to portray it's own emotion. His choice of bright colors in his paintings definitely inspired me.
We definitely had a great time there at the musuem along with spending time together. :-)

Grand Opening!!!

I'm so exited to launch my first blog on the site!!
The purpose of my blog is to talk about different aspect of my art and to hopefully explain as much of my thought process on each piece as I can.
The painting to the left is one of latest that I've done. Vandi came to be requesting a Geisha lady wearing a dark maroon dress and the Geisha lady on a 60 x 48 canvas. As I was sketching, I realized a circular bright sun-like formation behind the lady would definitely put her in the spotlight. I also placed several lush green bamboos behind both matter to set it off. I really had a great time painting this piece. I hope you all enjoyed it as well. :)
